Other Research ResourcesThe College has arrangements to facilitate the research of students working on topics related to the United States or to Western Europe. It has developed a scheme with the Department of Political Science, Yale University, USA, whereby normally one student each year is exchanged between the two institutions. It has a link with the Juan March Institute in Madrid, where the Vincent Wright Studentship, in commemoration of this former Fellow of the College, enables politics visiting strudents to spend a year at Nuffield. There is also a sociology graduate exchange programme with the Universities of Stockholm and Harvard. A further source of research support which the College provides is a Social Science Data Library. This holds a wide range of data sets, including the large Government-produced continuous surveys. A wealth of data is therefore readily available to students for secondary analysis. Support for these data sets is provided by the Data Services Officer, who also provides information on data sources, and will transfer and mount further datasets when required. |
